Regina di Renieri IGT Toscana 2011

External Review by WineExpress.com:

Tenuta Renieri comprises just over 300 acres right in the Brunello di Montalcino zone, on slopes that face Monte Amiata. The single Regina Vineyard, where the grapes for this wine are sourced is just 7 acres at high elevation and it's planted with Syrah which responds incredibly well to the volcanic soils and warm microclimate. Proprietor Marco Bacci crafts only about 1,000 cases of this 100% Syrah aged 18 months in French oak barrels. This wine scored 93 from James Suckling who said "A rich, spicy red with meat and earth character, as well as ripe plums. Full body with light, round tannins and a fruity finish. Syrah. Drink or hold." Grab it while it's On Sale!!!

Intense and clear nose , a lot of dark cherry fruit, some blackberry , violets in the background also . Juicy and with beautiful fresh fruit on the palate , crisp tannins, unfolds in many layers."
