Santa Helena Carmenere Reserva 2006

External Review by Sam's Wine:

Carmenere (long confused with Merlot, but a separate varietal all its own) is a wine drinker's dream grape: it combines gobs of flavor and aroma (a panoply of black-red fruits such as blackberry and black raspberry) with a sensuous, silky texture and a diaphanous whisper of "green," a hint of green bell pepper or green bean, just as it finishes its leisurely stroll through your mouth and swallow. Delicious!
