Bodega Santa Julia:
Santa Julia is a label offshoot of Familia Zuccardi wines from Mendoza, Argentina. The wine is named after Julia Zuccardi, daughter of chief winemaker José Alberto Zuccardi. The wines are organic (although not certified under US law) and handmade, with close attention to detail. This is an affordable range of dry and sparkling wines as well as a late harvest Torontes/Viognier blend called simply “Tardio.”

Chunky cherry and red currant aromas with a touch of savory minerality, put together this presents an interesting fruit and floral mixture on the nose. A bit flabby on the palate with black cherry fruit and an earthy, tart finish with rough tannins.

In the nose it has a high impact intensity, with very fresh and fruity aromas.
