Sea Smoke Pinot Noir Sta. Rita Hills Southing 2013

Winemaker's Notes:

Southing refers to the south-facing hillside bluffs found on Sea Smoke's estate vineyard. Each year, the goal for this wine is to create the ideal marriage of complexity and elegance. The ever-changing nose of the 2013 Southing exhibits dusty red fruit, savory spices and rose petals. The fine tannins and minerality are enhanced by the vineyard's characteristic cool climate acidity. Barrel aged 16 months in French oak (55% new). Alcohol 14.6%. Not yet reviewed; 2012 vintage rated 97 points by PinotFile.
