Trisaetum Riesling Estate Ribbon Ridge 2012
Editorial Review by Gregory Dal Piaz:
Rather subtle and complex in the nose with a warm savory dried herb and spice note with hints of candied green walnuts and bake apple fruit topped with a touch of lemon juice. On the sweet side, there’s enough acid to keep this lively but the texture is a bit viscous and the flavors lean towards baked apple and dried fruit with a nice candied lime peel accents. The finish shows attractive citrus pith and mineral note that cut through the sweetness, along with some pineapple peel but going back to this I am struck by how sweet it seems. Medium dry on the back label I would have pegged this as medium sweet. 87pts
