  • Haut Bergey Blanc 2012

The 2012 Haut-Bergey Blanc smells and tastes like a masterful blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon; there is a scent of lightly sugared pear and lychee with a hint of anise and perhaps ginger. On the palate, the wine is slightly viscous but thirst quenching with citrus, pear and licorice flavours predominating. Finish is satisfying and long. ... Read More

  • Chateau Haut Bergey 2011

This edition of Haut-Bergey is a very pleasant surprise:it has a mild nose of red currants, plum and blackberry that evokes parfum, while on the palate the soft tannin is already dissipating with elegant licks of plum and blackberry on a moderately long finish. Interesting metallic "rusty pipe" in the nose, and a dry, spicy, alcohol and something akin to witch hazel on the palette... there is an allure to this wine, but I think it needs more time. Read More
