Cima Collina produces artisan wines from small Monterey vineyards. The idea of an “artisan wine” is the partnership with growers who meticulously cultivate vineyards, the insistence on using only carefully chosen fruit, and the creation of wine on a barrel-by-barrel basis. The focus on Monterey vineyards is an acknowledgement that this region is now and will continue to produce wines that are interesting, compelling and unique. Many factors conspire to make this a truly gifted region for growing grapes, from the cool maritime climate, well-drained soils and the energy of our winemaking colleagues a dynamic renaissance is currently underway in our region. We invite you try the wines of Cima Collina as well as the other wines of the Monterey Wine Country we are confident will meet your highest expectations. – Description from AlexJelena

  • Cima Collina Pinot Noir Monterey County Chula Vina 2006

Nice cherry on the nose. A little gamey. Something else I can't quite place but I like it. Nice soft tannins on the palate. Cherry bomb, with a hint of raspberry. Very nice. Definitely would buy another bottle of this. Absolutely fantastic for the price. Read More

  • Cima Collina Pinot Noir Monterey County 2005

I loved the aromas of this wine. It has hints of rich dark chocolate, wood, ... but not dry. I had the Cima Collina Pinot Noir with pasta and Bolognese sauce and it kept up nicely with the acidity of the tomato. It tasted even better when I paired with goat cheese. I would definitely look for this wine agai Read More

Nice on the nose, not intense but showing some light fruit and forest floor over toasted oak. Rather oaky in the mouth and showing a slightly evolved character. There's some nice grapefruit acid here and a complicating herbal tones in the mouth over modest dark berry fruit. the modest finish shows some more herbal tones, a bit minty and feels li... • Cima Collina Pinot Noir Monterey County 2007

Nicely earthy on the nose but also a bit dull with low slung vanilla and spiced cherry fruit backed up with subtle herbal/medicinal tones. At first this seems a bit soft in the mouth but it has decent acidity and some soft tannins that support a gentle core of cocoa dusted cherry fruit. Nicely balanced and fairly restrained with a nice clear fi... Read More

Very rich with a great fruity nose. Very fruity, especially so for a Pinot Noir - fruit really moving towards currants and raisins. A bit much for some people, but some of us love it super fruity.Finishes with nice soft vanilla flavors, which combined with the fruit is reminiscent of baked blackberry pie. Read More

  • Cima Collina Pinot Noir Monterey County 2005

Very dense on the nose with spicy and stemmy accents to the candied black berry fruits and a touch of root beer candy. In the mouth this is certainly rich and powerful with deep earthy notes a hints of grapefruit that contrast well with the black fruits but the feel of the wine is too soft. Theres some tannin here, but not enough to keep this in... Read More

I enjoyed the Pinot Noir. Cherry, red fruit on the nose and then darker berries on the palate. Big for a Pinot Noir, med+ body, more tannins identified and linger through the full taste but smoothen out and finishes nicely. Read More
