Okay, we're counting down to the end of the year. With three drinking weeks left, start nominating your wines of the year. And, if you like, nominate a wine experience of the year. I'm going to have to think about the WOTY for a while, and I'll update this OP as things occur to me, but I'm going to say it wasn't a year full of head turning win... Read More

2nd in the Flight; Interesting aromas of Barbecue and roasted Green Chile. Dry, but soft in the mouth with well balanced Tannins and Acidity. Becomes more nuanced as it sits in the glass, with more herb and earth. Not bad at all $10 a glass, but retail is $21. Very surprising a 2014 so well rounded and enjoyable. Definitely a 'go to' wine out an... Read More

The nose showed sweet floral notes, black tea, stony minerals, earth, black pepper and a hint of parchment. On the palate, it was velvety and savory with excellent balance showing sour berries, black soil, bell pepper and leather. The finish was beautifully smooth and lasting. Read More

Huge, floral nose. Stoney and green. Light bodied, high acid, heavyish tannins. A little elusive for me. May have wanted food. Read More

Super fine, subtle game and herb notes, smoky dried beef, limestone dust, stem and smoke, like a pillow around my head. Bright and finely balanced, this is so elegant with great inner mouth energy. This is layered and bright, showing raspberry, light rare beef and spicy floral tones on a palate. Shows nice flesh growing to frame the acid. Lovely... Read More
