This is one of the great Bordeaux wine houses operating both as a Chateau owner and as a negociant.It was founded by Fernand Ginestet in 1897 and up until the 1970's they owned the First Growth Chateau Margaux,In 1978 they became part of the Taillon Group.They are responsible for 15 million bottles a year and employ over 100 people.

Apologies, this is not about the 08, but the 1999, yes that is correct, 1999 White Bordeaux. Even with the Semillon at the usual 50% with this bottling, I did not expect much.
