In the beginning... Killibinbin Wines commenced production in 1997. producing a "massive" 400 cases of Langhorne creek Shiraz. This wine sold out in six weeks, was critically acclaimed around the world and launched a new career in wine production for Killibinbin founders, premium wine retailers and obsesses "wine nuts". Those long days of selling, promoting and marketing (not to mention the countless tastings) of other people wines confirmed only one thing. We wanted to produce our own wine. So armed with the seven principles of founding an internationally recognized wine label, namely No vineyards, No grapes, Np winery, No winemaker, No money, Loads of Gumption and A great passion for wine as well as heaps support (and a few good ideas) from Wayne's wife, Sue and Liz's husband Richard Killibinbin was born. – Description from iskicm

  • Gotham Langhorne Creek Shiraz 2004

Combining 56% Shiraz and 44% Cabernet at 14.5% alcohol, the Killibinbin blend offers a vibrant plum color with raspberries and earth tones on the nose. It offers upfront fruit, with a long and dry finish. Recommending to let this one breathe to relax the tannins, would pair very well with beef or lamb or a pasta dish with a cream based sauce.... • Killibinbin the Blend # 2 2004

I'm a sucka for this stuff. Massive, thick and potent. Rich cherry, not too much oak. Almost a smoky finish, which made this fruitbomb stand out a bit. Read More
