Port Phillip Estate is situated at Red Hill in the heart of the Mornington Peninsula wine region 80km south of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The vineyard is part of the Gjergja family domain, which includes Kooyong vineyard and winery. The winemaker is Sandro Mosele. The 20 hectare property has glorious views to Phillip Island and French Island in Westernport Bay. The estate is located at latitude 38 degrees South at an altitude of 160m above sea level. The maritime influences together with the natural amphitheatre formed by the the north and north-east facing blocks provide an ideal environment for cool climate viticulture. The maritime influence at the vineyard is symbolised by the 'Blue Peter' logo, a blue flag pierced with white, the international maritime code for letter 'P'. – Description from Dragac

Great French/Rhone focused wine, oak, fruit, soft tannins all in balance; this is a great wine, enjoy on its own or along good food. The sort of wine you take out for guests that have an educated palate and/or don't like overpowering reds. There is also plenty of spice to entertain all audiences. Read More

  • I'm hoping the Snooth community can help me out with some recommendations. I've have had a couple Argentinian Malbec and Malbec blend wines in the last couple of months that I really enjoyed and I was hoping that I could get some recommendations to expand what I've tried. I'm looking up to $50 but realistically more in the $15 to $30 range. L... Read More
