This family business was established in a 14th century building in Beaune in 1877. They own a total of 13 hectares of vineyards spread across several Burgundy appellations but they also operate as a negociant  house. In 2005 Roland Remoissenet retired at the age of 75 and sold up to a consotium that included Louis Jadot. The sale included cellars containing over 100.000 bottles of Burgundy ,some of which dated back to the 1950's. The consortium have invested in the business which is still a respected  Burgundy house.

Presentation in the glass is medium-dark red (cherry), and indeed, cherry and strawberry notes predominate on the nose with a hint of cream. Entry coincides with expectation; mouth-feel is soft but lush with balanced and cleaning acidity. Tannins are light and very pleasant suggesting perfect integration. Cherry and other red suit flavours abo... Read More

  • Meursault-Genevrières Premier Cru 2007

The nose is lemon custard and minerals with just a hint of oak. Also, aromas of stone fruits, white tree fruit. Elegant and lean structure even having aged in 45% new oak. It's focused and balanced. Lots of lemon and lime zest on the palate with just a kiss of oak. Great balance and crispness. Very good! Read More

  • Remoissenet Père et Fils Chambolle-Musigny 1985

A clear ruby read wine, with a fairly leathery smell which reminds of black currant. The taste is complex and slightly bitter with a extremely long and enjoyable aftertaste. A great wine, which we enjoyed with the utmost indulgence. Read More
