  • Mt. Etna is located in northeastern Sicily in the province of Catania. Viticulture on the lower slopes of Mt. Etna dates back millennia. We live, however, in an age where we want to know what you have done for me lately. That’s good news for Etna’s DOC wines. Winemaking on Europe’s most active volcano is hot, both literally and figuratively. Etn... Read More

  • Antonelli San Marco Sagrantino "Chiusa di Pannone" 2006

    Snoothrank:

Sagrantino di Montefalco became a favorite the evening Andrea first opened a bottle for us in Panicale. • With harvest truly getting underway in northern California, up to now it's ... ... the  2006 Antonelli San Marco Sagrantino di Montefalco ($75) which has to be the best value on this list, and I went through it pretty carefully. Yes it’s a bit of a tough and savory wine, but it's a fine example of Sagrantino with some age on it for a very comp... Read More

  • Antonelli San Marco Sagrantino di Montefalco DOCG 2005

    Snoothrank:

We found this wine on holiday this year, 2012, in Umbria. Very full bodied and spicey. We enjoyed it so much that when we visited the town where it is made, Montefalco, we dropped in on the winery. They were very helpful and we tasted nearly all their produce and bought some as well !We would definitely recommend this wine. Read More
